IN ANTEPRIMA NAZIONALE: Unità d’Italia

Sembrerebbe che non sia rimasto molto a cui aggrapparsi oltre la bandiera di questo paese. Nell’anno delle grandi celebrazioni viviamo lo sfaldamento culturale e politico della nazione. Il verde della fioritura della speranza, dicevano, il rosso, il sangue degli eroi caduti. Il bianco: la fede serena alle idee che fanno divina l’anima nella costanza dei savi, dissero un tempo. Il bianco della fede si è sporcato. Il colore si è dpinto di falsa abbondanza, di stasi, ma risorge a nuovo credo partendo dalla sua bandiera, per ritrovare un popolo saldo in tre colori, quando non ci rimane più molto altro da cui ricominciare.

Una mostra che fa parte del SI FEST, Festival della Fotografia di Savignano sul Rubicone (Italia), nella sezione indipendente OFF. Questo contributo ti propone di divenire parte integrante della nuova bandiera nazionale perché, ammettiamolo, il nostro paese è quello che ne facciamo, uomini, donne, gatti, cani, ranocchi e bagarozzi, nessuno escluso.

FOR THE FIRST TIME ON ITALIAN SOIL: The Unification of Italy

It seems there is not much to cling on to other than the flag in this country. In a year of great celebrations, we are experiencing the cultural and political disintegration of the nation. Green for the blooming of hope, they used to say. Red, the blood of fallen heroes. White: solid faith in the ideas which make the soul divine in the perseverance of wise men, someone stated. The white of faith is tainted. Its shade is one of hypocritical plenty and standstill. This colour is searching for a new meaning in the country’s flag, to find a people that trusts in three colours, when there is not much else to start from.

As part of the SI FEST Photography Festival in Savignano sul Rubicone ( Italy), the OFF section, this exhibition includes an interactive part which offers you the chance to become part of the new national flag, because, let’s face it, our country is what we make it, men, women, cats, dogs, frogs and beastly bugs, no-one excluded.
